Although second- and third-generation Filipino-Americans represent a significant segment of the Filipino population in our society, they remain under-represented in our Filipino-American churches. Due to the growing disconnection with Filipino-immigrant churches coupled with the growth of mega-churches and para-church organizations, this valuable and vibrant demographic is slowly vanishing from our local Filipino church. |
The leadership of Northwest Filipino Baptist Church recognized this trend and sought ways not just to retain these people in the church, but moreover to reach, nurture and utilize the growing second- and third-generation Filipino-American community.     Through fervent prayer and small steps of faith, Regeneration was conceived to address this unique |
need through corporate worship sessions, ministry training workshops, and small group fellowship. From a simple idea in 2002, Regeneration has spread among the young people across the United States and Canada and encouraged them to renew their commitments to God in living lives worthy of the calling. They have become a great asset in not only reaching their peers, but also reviving the health and ministries of the local church. |
